Walks in the Val de Saire
The hotel at Réville, near Saint-Vaast la Hougue is a short walk from the 11th century church. Nearby are the manors of Houguet ans Crosvillerie. Going towards Jonville you have magnificent views of Tatihou and the mouth of the Saire river. On foot, by bike, on horseback, by boat or by car, here are some suggestions to give you some ideas for your excursions.

Gatteville-Le-Phare
At Barfleur Point, visit this picturesque village and the famous lighthouse – second highest in France and featured on the UK ‘Coast’ TV programme – which gives it its name for a view of the whole Val de Saire.

Montfarville
Discover this village built around the sumptuous and famous church built entirely of granit with Italian-style wall-paintings. Furniture and paintings in keeping with these create an impressive atmosphere.

Barfleur
Classed a sone of the prettiest villages in France, Barfleur, aptly called ‘The pearl of the Val de Saire’, is a dynamicand picturesque village . The fishing port, its historic heritage and shops make it an unmissable place to visit.

Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue
Our hotel is ideally situated to enjoy SVLH. A fishing port and marina, Saint-Vaast la Hougue is a great place to swim and a must see in the Val de Saire. Next to the port is the island of Tatihou, a nature reserve not to be missed. You can visit Tatihou and the maritime museum there with its Vauban tower. Trips leave from Saint-Vaast la Hougue by amphibious boat.
